The eight-week program invites students to see themselves in advertising.

Dans. Davids. Dons. Advertising has had plenty of that.

We want different names in the credits. New names on industry doors. More HBCUs repped within W+K’s walls and beyond.

The ADMagic program is about getting more students from historically black colleges and universities to see themselves in the business. To see that the talents they have now could turn into spectacular, creative careers (even if their families find doctors, lawyers, and architects easier to understand).

In ADMagic’s first year, 10* junior and senior students from Lincoln University and Hampton University will deep dive into all things advertising. The eight-week program includes getting linked up with a W+K mentor, attending seminars/workshops, participating in a real client brief, and being invited to a virtual recruitment event. Fresh talent is already out there; why not act like it?

Applications are due by January 18, 2021 at 11:59pm PST. Apply for the program at admagic.wk.com.

*We’re launching this program with five students from Lincoln University and five students from Hampton University, and honestly whomever else we’d like to admit from HBCUs. (How could we say no to a really, really great creative pitch?)

We have the ambition to scale to more schools and students in the future. If you work at an HBCU or think your HBCU would like to participate in this program, please drop us a line at ADMagic@wk.com.
