I have seen the commercial playing "Alouette" MANY times. It is a nice visual, but each time I see it I wonder... what does depluming a small bird after it's been killed have to do with "color?" It is a gruesome song- combining a jovial child-like melody with dark abusive content. I am bewildered every time I see it. I also wonder how many animal activists may have contacted Target because of it. Don't get me wrong, I do like the melody, but it is one of those songs you sing as a child- until you understand the words- then you NEVER utter them again.
